6/29/2017 · I recently reviewed the SL-K Carbon Wheelset from Full Speed Ahead, or FSA, and loved it. FSA was kind enough to send me the matching SL-K cockpit set up (handlebar, stem, and seatpost) to match the set, and I’ve put these suckers to the test as well. The FSA-SL Carbon crankset came on my new Cervelos RS (2008). I also had problems with the chain dropping from the large to small crank such that the chain would slip. It is amazing to me how any crankset could be built this terribly these days. I brought it back to the LBS and they swapped out the chainrings for ultegra and it works well now.

FSA SLK Light BB30 Road Crankset: Features all the advantages of the BB30 system: lighter, stiffer and more durable. so be it, but the 2nd time, I have to write this review to warn anyone who's doing their homework. The 2nd time it broke had nothing todo w/ torque on tightening, but it just came loose and fell off causing a false step and I've never had problems with FSA cranks and have the SLK's on two of my bikes with no complaints. However, I did have to replace a set of ultegra cranks when there was a defect in the pedal threading, the same set also had the chainring get bent somehow during transit, the first time that ever happened to me.

I've never had problems with FSA cranks and have the SLK's on two of my bikes with no complaints.
